Foundations Sixty 6 is a grassroots organization committed to building a strong, accessible network of mental health professionals in Southern Ontario. Their mission is to improve access to psychiatric care for youth under 25, particularly those facing systemic barriers. As their reach began to grow, they needed a website that could support this momentum — one that would inspire donations, attract volunteers, and open doors to partnerships. The client needed a website that clearly communicated their mission and encouraged engagement from three key audiences: donors, volunteers, and potential partner organizations. The challenge was to design a site that felt trustworthy and welcoming, while also being structured enough to guide users toward meaningful actions (like donating or getting involved).
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Vue.JS, CSS3 SASS, JavaScript, Lumen,
Using a clean, grid-based layout system, I designed and built the website to ensure clarity, ease of navigation, and emotional impact. I focused on: User Journey Mapping to guide each visitor type (donor, volunteer, partner) toward their respective calls to action. Accessible Design Choices with high-contrast text, clear headings, and responsive layouts for mobile users. Warm Visual Tone through imagery and color palette to reflect the foundation’s community-first values. Content Hierarchy that placed the mission front and center, followed by ways to support or get involved. I also made the footer links and media dynamic through a Lumen backend so it is simpler for the clients to update based on client demands
The final website offers a clear, compassionate representation of the Foundation’s work, helping them build credibility and extend their impact. Early feedback from stakeholders has been positive, with improvements in volunteer sign-ups and increased interest from partnering organizations.
